CHRIST IS KING - FLAG FOOTBALL 2025
Christ Is King - Flag Football is a six-week, faith-based flag football league for Christian families in the West Michigan area. We value family time over practice time, offering a unique format where practices and games take place on the same day. This allows families to spend more time together during the week, without the stress of running back and forth to practices and games multiple times a week.
We also provide a six-week at-home devotional designed to encourage meaningful Biblical discussions within the family. Our goal is to help kids grow both in their football skills on the field and in their spiritual lives at home.
Each child will receive a jersey and a hooded sweatshirt for the 2025 season.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our goal is to have fun and introduce kids to the game of football in a supportive, faith-based environment. No prior experience is needed—if your child has never played before, that’s perfectly fine! We begin each session with 30 minutes of instruction covering the fundamentals of football. During this time, your child will learn:
How to throw a football
How to catch a football
How to receive a hand-off
How to run routes
How to defend against the run and pass
The basic rules of football
After the practice session, we play a 60-minute game. For kids ages 6–11, coaches act as the quarterbacks and guide the plays on the field. Each game consists of two 25-minute halves with a 5-minute water break in between. We do keep score.
